WHEN: Sat 14th March 2026 11:00 - 13:00

WHERE: Bradbury Centre (Mark Room)

COST: £30pp

This workshop is an invitation to find freedom and play. To let go of the daily stresses of adulthood and step into a zone of make believe. Using play, improv builds community by encouraging unity and allowing players to express themselves though guided scene work. Quite often negative self talk takes over and improv challenges this mindset by creating a positive place to let yourself go by fostering simplicity and showing kindness. Improv playfully activates the inner child, serving wellbeing in it’s 'yes and’ approach. This class is a mix of games, scene work and juicy conversations. A class for anyone whether you're a complete beginner or experienced practitioner, everyone will benefit from the magical energy of playing as one.

INTRO TO HIP HOP MUSICAL IMPROV: WITH MICHAEL KUNZE

Michael Kunze 2.jpeg

WHEN: Sat 2nd May 2026 14:00 - 16:00

WHERE: Bradbury Centre (Mark Room)

COST: £35pp

Join us for a session of rhyming and fun. This workshop is designed to get the newest of performers comfortable with freestyle rapping and learn the fundamentals of musical improv.

You’ll learn how to work with the beat, find your flow, and construct verses that can heighten any improvised scene.

Aside from learning some Hip Hop fundamentals, you’ll also learn how to initiate a rap from within an improvised scene. Use the characters and scenes you create and weave them into a rap that you, and your fellow players, create on the spot!

Whether you’ve done some musical improv or hip hop before, or if this is your first time, we’d love to have you along!

Michael Kunze is an award-winning comic actor, writer, director and improviser, and a co-founder of Blue Heart Theatre. His work has appeared at Soho Theatre, Pleasance London, and the Southwark Playhouse, among others. As an improviser, he performs regularly around the UK.
